📊 Scope of Data: What is Deleted vs Retained

When your account deletion is processed, we ensure that your identity and user footprint are completely purged from our active systems.

Profile Identity: Name, Email, Phone number, Profile avatar.
Auth Credentials: Passwords, Google OAuth tokens, and session records.
Learning & Academic Data: Quiz answers, test scores, badges, and XP leaderboard ranks.
BhAI AI Chat History: All conversation transcripts with BhAI.
Personal Preferences: Bookmarked lessons, notes, and study schedules.
Push Notification Tokens: FCM device tokens ensuring you receive zero future notifications.

⚠️ Data Legally Retained (Statutory Requirements)

Financial & Invoicing Records: If you performed monetary transactions (wallet top-ups or purchases), invoices and transaction IDs must be retained under Section 44AA of the Indian Income Tax Act 1961 for statutory tax audit periods (up to 7 years).
Fraud & Abuse Prevention: Records of banned accounts for cyber-fraud, severe terms violation, or security threats may be maintained in an isolated quarantine list solely to prevent repeated malicious abuse.
Isolation: Retained records are encrypted and strictly quarantined from any active usage, analytics, or marketing.

📱 Alternative: How to Delete Your Account From Within the App

If you have the BroPro Android application installed on your device, you can also initiate deletion directly in the app:

Open the BroPro App

Ensure you are signed in to the account you wish to delete.

Navigate to Profile / Settings

Tap your avatar or the settings menu icon in the top header.

Select "Delete Account"

Scroll to the bottom of the profile settings and click on "Delete Account & Data".

Confirm Permanent Deletion

Read the warning prompt, confirm your action, and you will be immediately signed out while data purging commences.

⏱️ Processing Timeline & Retention Policy

Immediate Deactivation: Once verified, your account access and login tokens are deactivated immediately.
Active Purging: All active database records (profile, quizzes, chats, progress) are purged within 48 to 72 hours.
Backup Cycle: Complete erasure from encrypted rolling backups is finalized within a maximum of 30 days.
